I’m Amirah Means — founder of A+ Wood Dezigns, also known as AmirahTheBuilder. My love for building started long before I picked up a hammer professionally. As a child, I was always curious — taking toys apart, using my dad’s tools, and dreaming up my own worlds.

That curiosity followed me through high school, where I joined the robotics team as the mechanical engineer, and even into college where I studied mechanical engineering. But in 2020, during the pandemic, I had a breakthrough. I realized I wasn’t fulfilled… so I prayed, soul searched, and finally answered the call God placed on my life: to create with my hands.

I enrolled in carpentry school, and from the first day, my soul lit up. That’s when A+ Wood Dezigns was born — a company rooted in creativity, faith, and service.

Today, I build handcrafted playhomes, DIY kits, garden boxes, and teach others how to build too. This isn’t just woodworking — it’s purpose work. And I’m grateful you’re here to be part of the journey.
